In the following, the types of wood used for wooden boat construction are presented

1. Bak Mane wood (Laban wood)
The wood is saffron in color and has a fine fiber. Often referred to in the Aceh Bak Manee language. Laban wood is used in ship bones or ship frames with durable class I and strong I.

2. Meuranti mirah wood
Meurante Mirah (Meranti Merah) is the name of a type of carpentry wood which is popular in trade.

3. Bak Thu (Giam Wood)

Giam tree (Bak Thu) is a tree that has a height of 35–40 m with a length of 10–25 m free branches. The outer skin is gray, gray-brown, light brown, brown to dark brown or red. This wood is commonly used on ships, namely on the hulls of ships, engine bearings and ship nags. Giam has durable and strong qualities.

4. Semantok Wood (Semantok Wood)

Semantuk wood has high strength and durability, this wood is used for heavy construction, especially when it comes to humid conditions and is in contact with the ground. This type of wood is also widely used to make wooden ships in Aceh, while it is usually used as a ship bearing (logor).
